Christina G. Cassie Kuzmich, Esquire is the Founder and Managing Partner of Christina G. Cassie Kuzmich, P.A. Christina is a former Prosecutor who believes in providing zealous advocacy while helping her clients navigate through what can often be a difficult and confusing process. She strives to provide her clients with the most favorable outcome available under their unique circumstances. A seasoned litigator, Christina has experience in both the Criminal and Civil courtrooms, specifically, in the area of Criminal Defense and Family Law. 

 

Christina is a South Florida native who was born in Jamaica and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Christina’s passion for law began at an early age but was solidified while she was an undergraduate at the University of Central Florida. Christina earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2008. 

 

Christina earned her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in 2014. She was admitted to practice in 2015. Immediately, Christina went to work serving the citizens of Broward County, as an Assistant State Attorney for the 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida.  Christina began her work with the Broward State Attorney’s Office while she was still in law school. First as a volunteer Intern in their sexual battery unit and then as a Certified Legal Intern. As an Assistant State Attorney, Christina prosecuted misdemeanors and felony cases. During this time, Christina tried numerous cases to Jury and argued many dispositive motions to the court.

After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, Christina worked as an Associate Attorney for a prestigious Criminal Defense Firm. During this time, Christina aggressively represented clients who were with serious criminal offenses, securing favorable outcomes such as a reduction in plea offer and dismissal of charges. She also successfully represented clients who were involved in divorce and time-sharing matters including, having tried a time-sharing matter wherein her client was awarded a favorable outcome. After, Christina worked for a prestigious Civil Defense Firm where she represented both individuals and corporations against claims for damages filed against them. Her legal experience includes trials both in criminal and family law matters, dipositive/evidentiary motion writing and argument, plea negotiations, settlement negotiations, mediations, and post-trial challenges, such as appeals and motions to vacate plea agreements.   

 

Christina remains active in her community. She served as an Executive Board Member with the T.J. Reddick Bar Association, from 2017 – 2022. She was recognized by the National Trial Lawyers Association’s where she was awarded their Top 40 under 40 -Criminal Defense, in 2019. She is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, Florida Association of Woman’s Lawyers – Broward County Chapter, and T.J. Reddick Bar Association.
